Wine Tasting: Barolo Tasting at Vino Spiro

17 January 2026 – 17.30
Barolo tasting in Vino Spiro
Few grapes in the world of wine have a reputation that can compare with that of the nebbiolo grape.
The grape is known and loved all over the world, but with a few exceptions only thrives in the misty hills of Piedmont.
Here, however, it can achieve a quality from the best producers that makes it one of the world’s most sought-after red wines.
What has also helped to give the nebbiolo an almost mythical status is its pronounced ability to store and its reputation for being quite unapproachable as a very young person.
However, this has changed a bit with the introduction of more modern production methods, but most nebbiolo still needs at least a few years long before it is a pleasure to drink.
Last but not least, nebbiolo’s reputation is of course inextricably linked to Barolo, which is made from 100% nebbiolo.
Although excellent nebbiolo Barbaresco and a number of other areas are also made in Piedmont, Barolo still has a very special status as the wine of kings, the king of wines.
Therefore, in tonight’s program, we also delve into how nebbiolo is expressed in Barolo.
The evening offers the following wines:
Francesco Rinaldi Barolo Brunate
Enzo Boglietti Barolo Brunate
Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo Villero
Luigi Pira Barolo Rionda
Elio Sandri Barolo Riserva
5 wines, snacks and Osse Buco with mash and Gremolata – 895 SEK/person
